Easy Coffee Cake with Pretzel Streusel Topping Submitted By Snyders of Hanover

Ingredients: 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup sugar
6 Tbsp butter
1 egg, beaten
½ cup milk
1 ½ Tbsp melted butter


Topping:
1 cup (approx. 35) Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzel Sticks, coarsely crushed
½ cup all-purpose flour
4 Tbsp butter
4 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp cinnamon


Instructions: Cake:
Grease and flour a 9“ x 9“ pan. Preheat oven to 400F. In a large bowl, sift flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar together. With a fork, cut in butter. In a separate bowl mix egg with milk. Add to flour mixture and stir until well blended and smooth. Scrape into prepared pan and spread evenly. Brush top with melted butter. Sprinkle on Pretzel Streusel topping (below) and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.

Topping:
Combine ingredients. Sprinkle over top of unbaked coffee cake. Bake according to directions above.
