Pretzel Birdfeeder Submitted By Snyders of Hanover

Ingredients: Here’s an easy craft that your kid’s will love. During the winter month’s supply your local birds with the protein needed to get them through the cold weather and decorate your trees and shrubs at the same time! Remember this birdfeeder will only function properly when the weather is cold enough to keep the peanut butter somewhat solid.

Topping:
Snyder’s of Hanover Snaps Pretzels
Peanut butter
Birdseed
Dried cranberries
Ribbon or twine

Instructions: Line a cookie sheet with wax paper or aluminum foil.
In a small bowl, mix together some peanut butter, birdseed and dried cranberries.
Sprinkle some birdseed in the cookie sheet. Place four Snaps Pretzels on top of birdseed to form a square.
Spread some peanut butter mixture over the square of Snaps. Top off with four more Snaps.
Make enough of the birdfeeders to fill your pan then pop it in the freezer. When frozen, thread some colorful ribbon through the top Snaps. Tie the ribbon and hang on a tree.

Here’s a suggestion- use different color ribbons to help attract the birds. If you would like to avoid having to remove the ribbons, use a biodegradable twine or raffia.
