Pretzel Muffins with Pretzel Streusel Topping Submitted By Snyders of Hanover

Ingredients: 1 ¾ cups sifted all-purpose flour
3 tsp baking powder
2 tbs sugar
1 cup milk
½ tsp salt
3 tbs melted butter or shortening
1 egg, beaten
1 cup coarsely chopped Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzels


Topping:
1 cup (app. 35) Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzel Sticks, coarsely crushed
½ cup all-purpose flour
4 tbs butter
4 tbs sugar
2 tsp cinnamon


Instructions: Muffins: Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a muffin tin with paper muffin cups. Sift all dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. In a small bowl, stir egg, milk and melted butter. Add egg mixture to dry ingredients and stir only until ingredients are combined. Stir in pretzel pieces. Batter will be lumpy. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full. Top with Streusel and bake for about 25 minutes.
Topping: Combine ingredients. Sprinkle over top of unbaked coffee cake. Bake according to directions above.
