Chimney Muffins

Ingredients

  • Prepared cupcakes or muffins
  • 8 Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzel Snaps per cupcake
  • 1 Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzel Rod per cupcake
  • Cake Mate Bakery Icing, blue, white, and red
  • Cake Mate Cupcake Gems, Shimmer Silver
  • Fondant, black
  • Cake Mate Decorating Tips

Directions

  1. Using a little red Bakery Icing, “glue” four Pretzel Snaps together to create a square; repeat; “glue” the two squares together to create the chimney; set aside to set.
  2. Coat the top of the cupcake in the blue Bakery Icing; gently press the prepared “chimney” into the middle of the cupcake.

    Using an offset spatula, coat the chimney with red Bakery Icing.

  3. Using the small round Decorating Tip, pipe thin lines of white Bakery Icing on top of the red chimney to resemble bricks; set aside.

  4. Break the Pretzel Rod in half; holding the non-broken end coat all but the unbroken edge of the Pretzel Rod in red Bakery Icing; gently push the frosted Pretzel Rod (broken edge down) into the chimney; repeat with other half; set aside to dry (about 10 minutes).

  5. Roll 2 large marble-sized pieces of black fondant into 2 equal sized balls; gently shape into shoes. Using a little white Bakery Icing, gently press the shoes onto each of the Pretzel Rods.

  6. Pipe white Bakery Icing around the edge of each shoe to resemble white fur trim.

    Remove the Decorating Tip from the white Icing and squeeze the white icing around the top of the chimney; immediately sprinkle with the Shimmer Silver Cupcake Gems; repeat around bottom of chimney.
