In a microwave-safe bowl, melt ½ cup of the Icing on high in 7 second intervals, stirring between intervals, until smooth and pourable.
Spoon the melted icing over the rods; place on wire rack, or stand up in a cup, until icing has hardened.
Cut 2” pieces of the licorice strands, add about ¼ teaspoon of icing on the top of each rod, insert tip of licorice strand and let completely set (you can refrigerate the rods to speed up the set time).
