Pretzel Crab Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 c. finely crushed Snyder's of Hanover Hard Sourdough Pretzels (3-4 pretzels)
  • 1/2 t. seafood seasoning (Old Bay)
  • 1 t. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 t. dry mustard
  • 1 lb. crabmeat
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/2 c. all purpose flour
  • 1/3 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/4 t. pepper

Directions

  1. Remove all cartilage from crab meat.
  2. In a bowl, mix pretzel crumbs, egg, mayonnaise, and seafood seasoning.
  3. Add crabmeat. Gently but thoroughly mix.
  4. Shape into 6 crab cakes.
  5. Cook crab cakes in frying pan, - in just enough oil to prevent sticking - until browned, about 5 minutes on each side.
  6. Crab cakes may be deep fried at 350 for 2 to 3 minutes or over broiled for 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
