Wizard Wands

Ingredients

  • Snyder’s of Hanover® Pretzel Rods
  • Black fondant
  • Chocolate Candy Melts

Directions

  1. Line a baking sheet with wax paper.

  2. Melt Chocolate according to package directions.

  3. Coat ¾ of the pretzel Rod with melted chocolate. You can create different effects by swirling melted chocolate with the back of a spoon, or with the back of a spoon, “painting” the chocolate on in long strokes. Place on prepared sheet and refrigerate until chilled.

  4. Using about 3 TBS (or 1 ounce) of fondant, roll into a ball then press flat and wrap around uncoated portion of the Pretzel Rod.

  5. The fondant handle can now be shaped into your own personal design.

  6. For additional carved effects, try using various items, such as toothpicks, forks, etc. Ideas: Try using different color candy melts for additional designs. You can create a jeweled effect by using cake decorations. For a Fairy Princess wand, make stars by rolling out your favorite color fondant and cut out stars with cookie cutters; simply press onto hardened chocolate. Try using pink or yellow candy melts for the wand – get creative!
